In just under 12 hours of launching the campaign, 4000 people have already signed up!

The song ‘Fix You', was aptly chosen as its message is about overcoming sadness with the help of others, which of course, Rock Choir, with its strong sense of community and friendship, is all about. No one should feel worried about singing on their own as their voices like the Rock Choir Members will be blended into a final mix with thousands of others.

Mark Rowland, CEO of the Mental Health Foundation, said:

"We're very grateful to Rock Choir, their brilliant Recording Project helps us raise the profile of Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 (May 15-21th) and highlights the positive impact activities like arts and music can have on our mental health.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rock Choir and all of their members for their ongoing support. I can't wait to hear the final version of ‘Fix You'"

Rock Choiris the world's largest contemporary choir, created by award winning musicianCaroline Redman Lusher, who is recognised as the pioneer of the contemporary choir movement in the UK. Caroline's Rock Choir has attracted thousands of members over the last 18 years and since its creation, it's been turned into a much-loved household name. Recognised for its uplifting and joyful song repertoire, proven to increase confidence and self-esteem and release natural feel good hormones (endocannabinoids), which leaves the participant on a natural high. Rock Choir has changed lives for the better and it continues to be a lifeline for many.

Caroline Redman Lusher, Creator and Creative Director of Rock Choircomments:

"I would love for the wider general public, regardless of singing experience, to consider being part of this unique project. Anxiety can be, at times, debilitating and we know that there are individuals who might struggle to even step foot into a choir rehearsal room, afraid to join in with new groups or take part in hobbies that they once loved particularly difficult for them since the pandemic. By taking part in this recording project, we hope that everyone, regardless of circumstances, can feel safe and comfortable, engaging with us from their own homes and ultimately, be proud that they have made a vital contribution to this project.

We know that singing is a great stress buster, can improve confidence and self-esteem and create happiness! Not only that, singing in a group has enormous health and well-being benefits and the list of positives is endless. This is a unique and fun way to make a difference and raise awareness about anxiety and I am delighted that by creating this project, we are able to support the Mental Health Foundation with the vital work they do."
