SEIB have listened to their customers and switched breakdown providers to ensure a high level of service from these specialist teams dedicated to providing effective support.
Suzy Middleton, CEO at SEIB Insurance Brokers Ltd said: "We have built up our relationships with our equine and specialist motor customers over many years and we know that they need an efficient service to get them recovered and to their destination - whether it be a wedding or a showjumping competition - as swiftly as possible. ARAG specialises in niche breakdown solutions, so we know we can truly get the breakdown cover our customers need out to them when they need it, through this move.
"For our equine customers, it isn't just speed of recovery that is required. The welfare of their horses is of vital importance should they break down. ARAG has a specialist equine support team providing a specific welfare call and equine risk assessment for each breakdown along with a huge network of recovery vehicles. ARAG also has many years' expertise in solutions for private hire businesses including rural taxis and wedding hire. The peace of mind this will provide our customers cannot be underestimated."
SEIB Insurance Brokers Ltd led the way in initiating equine breakdown cover and have extended and developed their offering over the years to cover a comprehensive range of motor breakdown cover. ARAG is a natural fit for the continuation and development of this high-quality service. ARAG has an extensive nationwide network of independent recovery operators with over 4,000 contractors ready for roadside assistance, the company and its claims administrator Call Assist have been in partnership for over 12 years.
Paul Wilson, Motor & Commercial Manager at SEIB said: "We've listened to the feedback our customers have provided and made the decision to use ARAG as our motor breakdown provider. We're really impressed with the value-add services they can provide, particularly for our equestrian customers, and we're confident that this will improve the breakdown experience on our specialist motor policies.
ARAG has been very flexible in shaping different covers to suit the specific demands that some of our niche markets create. Motor breakdown assistance is an important and sometimes challenging product to deliver, but ARAG has used the company's experience to develop products that help differentiate SEIB in our markets and enhance our proposition to clients."
Matt Warren, UK Sales Manager at ARAG added, "We've worked hard to build up the capabilities and a reputation among brokers as a specialist for specialists. It's about tailoring not just the cover but also the claims service, to deliver products that truly meet our brokers' clients' needs. SEIB obviously has a great reputation itself, so we're delighted that such an award-winning company has entrusted us with this important business and to be extending our partnership with the broker."
