British Breeding / Baileys Horse Feeds Futurity Evaluation gives
Elite Award to Grantham based Stud.
Grantham based Antony Haslam achieved a superb Elite Award for Princess Kiara - a filly bred for top level eventing, at the British Breeding Baileys Futurity Evaluations which recently took place at Home Farm, Hothorpe , Leics. The filly's stable name is Kikiand she was earnt the top score for a foal at this venue.
The Futurity Evaluation series aims to identify British-bred young potential sport horses and ponies destined for careers in dressage, eventing, showjumping or endurance. It may even find the stars of the future who will go on to compete at World Championships, or become Olympic Champions.
Antony bought Kiki's dam, Lu Luna Du Niki V.S (stable name Luna), as young 4 year old. "I was in awe of her beautiful kind nature - she is the sweetest, most gentle mare we have ever come across. Soft and delicate but with lots of flare and wow along with heaps of natural talent and presence. Her mother Beau Niki V.S has been graded as an elite mare currently residing in Holland and her sire is Donnerruf. Luna's sire is Tuschinski, sired by none the less Krack C, a serious dressage Grand Prix contender, who scored one of highest ratings in the Dutch KWPN stallion selection and was the sire of the Dutch National Foal Champion in 2005 and 2006 who is now competing at Advanced level. This year Tuschinski was the top producer of young stallions entered at the KWPN stallion selection."

Kiki is very special to Antony's fiancé Louise, "she spent hours poring over the possible combinations and how both sire and dam would complement and boost each other's nature and top performance statistics. Louise's dream is to personally bring this little filly, from the stunning foal she already is, to advancing her up the eventing levels and maybe even one day with a little luck, taking her around Badminton 4*".
"This little fire-cracker is one to watch - Kiki already has a bold, bright attitude with the right amount grace and movement that you just can't tear your eyes away from. She has flare with her movement and a natural cadence, but then can flip a switch and can cover that ground at an eye-watering speed coupled with power. She's got the most beautiful brave heart and real guts - anything new she's right up there figuring out what it is, always interested, but quietly calm in herself."
