Two Limited SeriesofQueen Elizabeth IIPlatinumJubilee Banknotes Are Goinginto Circulation

After months of preparation, new Platinum Jubilee70 poundbanknoteswere ready for release on the morning of 8 September. This set of two limited series honoursandcommemoratesthe 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the throne. One Banknote, producers of the exclusive collectors'banknote brand Britannia Pound,now release the currency in respectful memory of Her Late Majesty.

Several designers collaborated on the distinctive designs forthetwo series,andthebanknotes wereproduced last monthin a high-securitycurrencyprinting facility. They depict Queen Elizabeth II andincorporate allthestandardsecurity features such as UV inks, unique serial numbers, microtext, holographic foil,and banknote engraving.

The noteswill be graded byPaper Money Guaranty (PMG)and will be auctioned by Stack's Bowers in January 2023.According toAris Maragoudakis, Director of World Paper Money at Stack's Bowers,
