Adult Learning Cardiff has launched its autumn 2022 courses and enrolment for a wide range of educational and recreational classes is now open.

The service's Learning for Work, Learning for Life, DICE (Disability Inclusion in Community Education) programmes and Digital Support schemes offer adults across the city new and exciting learning opportunities.

Delivered in hubs and other venues as well as online, courses start on September 26 and are available to browse and book here: www.adultlearningcardiff.co.uk

The Learning for Work programme is aimed at helping adults learn new or better existing skills to improve their employability prospects in areas such as Health and Social Care, working with children, food hygiene and more.

Learning for Life courses covers areas such as gardening, languages, sewing, jewellery-making and more and are an excellent way to pursue a hobby and meet new people.

The DICE programme offers a range of accessible courses, funded by Welsh Government for learners with mental health issues, learning difficulties or physical impairment. They include creative writing, photography, fun and practical computers, interactive maths and plenty more.

And Adult Learning's Digital Support offers help and training to help people get to grips with using their smartphone, tablets and computers with digital surgeries and basic skills classes around the city.

Cabinet Member for Tackling Poverty and Supporting Young People, Cllr Peter Bradbury, said: "September always feels like a time for a new start and after the past two years when many people have felt like life was on hold, it's the perfect opportunity to enrol on a course with Adult Learning Cardiff. 

"Whether you're looking to brush up on skills to get a new job or take the next steps in your career, or for recreational reasons - getting back in the swing of things and enjoying a new pastime while making new friends, the service has something for everyone."
