Malton rapeseed oil business shortlisted in Yorkshire Post Rural Awards
The team at a North Yorkshire rapeseed oil business is celebrating after reaching the final of a regional business award.
Thixendale business, Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil has been shortlisted in the Artisan Food Producer category in the sixth Yorkshire Post Rural Awards.
Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil founder, Adam Palmer said: "We're passionate about provenance and promoting partnerships with fellow rural businesses, so it's great to have our passion recognised with a place in the final of these prestigious rural awards."
Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil faces competition from fellow finalists, Stonebeck Cheese, The Yorkshire Pasta Company and Yorkshire Wolds Apple Juice. The teamwill learn whether they have been successful at an awards ceremony at The Pavilions in Harrogate on Thursday, 29thSeptember. The judges include Charles Mills from Yorkshire Agricultural Society, Sophie McCandlish and Emma Ryan from theYorkshire Post, farming writer, Chris Berry and Jennifer Costello from the NFU.
Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil was established in 2008 by Adam and Jennie Palmer on their farm in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. They produce a range ofoils, dressings and mayonnaisethat is based on their award-winning rapeseed oil.
