Following yesterday's breaking news that depression is ‘not caused by chemical imbalance’ a major review by University College London concluded, I wanted to redirect your attention back to last week when we sent through a release from our client, multi award-winning mobile therapist of the year Hayley Snishko and the launch of her campaign Massage4MentalHealth. This research perfectly outlines the premise behind Hayley's campaign and for someone who had a stressful life event herself, she understands and aligns to the new research findings.

The review was published in the journal Molecular Psychiatry suggests low serotonin levels are not a factor and the condition is more likely to be linked to stressful life events. Depression is not a chemical imbalance in the brain it concluded and scientists have no idea how antidepressants work.
