Driffield business shortlisted in Farmers Weekly Awards
The team at an East Yorkshire poultry business is celebrating after reaching the final of a national farming award.
Clive Soanes Broilers, sister company to Soanes Poultry, has been shortlisted in the Poultry Farmer of the Year category in the Farmers Weekly Awards.
Clive Soanes Broilers MD, Claire Wright is delighted with the news: "The Farmers Weekly Awards are thebiggest and most prestigious awards in UK farming, so it's a huge honour and a real credit to our hard-working team to reach the final."
The team face competition from fellow finalists Park Farm Barns, Worcestershire and Ventonwyn Farm, Cornwall and will learn whether they have been successful at an awards ceremony at London's Grosvenor House hotel on Thursday, 6 October.
Clive Soanes Broilershas been rearing chicken since 1947. The chicken is processed and sold by Soanes Poultry to butchers, independent retailers and restaurants in Yorkshire and to wholesalers and catering butchers nationwide.
