One of the company’s best-selling toilet cisterns is created using traditional Victorian tooling but, instead of being made from cast iron, it is formed with a durable, marine alloy and a plastic liner to prevent condensation and reduce noise.
While toilet cisterns are six- and four-litre dual flush, syphon valves are used. This is not simply for authenticity; these valves generally function better than many modern valves that are prone to leak, wasting valuable water in the process.
Supply chain issues are not a problem. Almost all Thomas Crapper products are manufactured in the UK, so have a reduced carbon footprint. They are available on relatively short lead times of around 7-10 working days, excluding the personalised options. On larger sites, builders can call off the sanitaryware and associated components for individual homes as required and have the items delivered on a pallet per plot.
