US tent brand Sierra Designs, has a high-performance range of lightweight tents ideally suited to stand up to harsh conditions. The 3000 series suits the UK climate with higher tent walls and a 3000mm (hydrostatic head) waterproof coated flysheet to keep out the rain and provide maximum protection from the elements. Following the successful launch of the Meteor 3000 last year, the European 3000 collection is now available in stores an online across the UK. The range includes:
Clearwing 3000 2 person @ £250 & 3 person @£325
The Clearwing is a 2 door, 2 vestibule free standing backpacking tent. Hooped poles over the doors create vertical side walls which provide lots of interior space. The two-person tent weighs only 2.4kg and the three person 2.9kg, ideal for three-season backpacking. The 3,000mm hydrostatic head makes ideal for the unpredictable British weather.

The High Side's pre-bent poles and distinct build provide a maximum amount of space and a minimum amount of weight. Twelve-inch pole sections help with efficient packing and once set up, just extend the awning and you'll be able to create even more useable space.

Designed to have a roomy interior space large enough to fit the Sierra Designs Backcountry Bed sleeping bag and a 2.5inch inflatable mat on the inside, the Backcountry Bivy will allow you to sleep as comfortably on a rock ledge as you do at home.
Waterproof, breathable 20-denier ripstop nylon top shell and waterproof, abrasion-resistant 30-denier nylon ripstop floor are both seam-sealed for true waterproof protection and are coated in a PFC-Free DWR water repellent- Roomy internal design is compatible with most sleep systems
