New children's book blends history, adventure and comedy

PRESS RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Shakespeare Shake-Up by Steven Vinacour

The latest in the popular Ted and His Time-Travelling Toilet series brings the plays of William Shakespeare to life

Award Publications has announced the launch of a new title in Steven Vinacour's Ted and His Time-Travelling Toilet series. In Shakespeare Shake-Up, Ted travels back in time to get acting tips from Shakespeare himself - all in the hope of becoming Romeo to Chloe's Juliet in the school play. However, two new additions at school - and some dodgy plumbing - may put a spanner in the works of his already dubious plan.

The Ted and His Time-Travelling Toilet series is a fast-paced, funny read that will resonate with children aged 7 to 12 (KS2) and encourage reluctant readers. The series successfully blends comedy with facts to make history come alive. By merging fiction with non-fiction to create the perfect ‘faction' mix, children will develop critical thinking, and analytical skills while unlocking a love of reading. Other titles in the series, Roman Rewind and Tudor Tangle, familiarise young readers with Roman and Tudor history.

Shakespeare Shake-Up is an ideal introduction to William Shakespeare ahead of World Shakespeare Day on April 23rd. Kids will be captivated by this hilarious page turner that encompasses history, adventure and comedy in equal measure. They'll be reciting well known Shakespeare quotes and will know their Tybalt from their Mercutio without realising they're learning!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR - Steven Vinacour writes and directs TV shows and adverts and owns a content creation company, creating content for people who want content creating. He likes skateboarding, dogs, magic, going to the gym, eating and writing books about toilets (but not all at the same time). He can't sing, plays football badly, his dancing abilities are questionable and he's not very good at being an adult. Steven doesn't take life seriously enough and probably should know better.
