Further to the launch of the KönigOutdoor kitchens fromKönigstone, we find out more about the rationale behind the range from Joanne Bull, Marketing Manager of Königstone.
What exactly is KönigOutdoor?
It's our debut outdoor kitchen range which allows people to prep, cook and dine outside. Hailing from the Southern Hemisphere, the idea of outdoor living is gaining momentum - in part, due to our confined time at home but the trend was soaring beforehand too.
KönigOutdoor is an uncompromising solution for discerning customers who want to experience the functionality of an indoor kitchen - outdoors! With sintered stone doors and panels, it creates a truly high-end solution for outdoor living.
How is your offering different to others on the market?
Königstoneis one of the UK's leading kitchen worktop specialists and we have been providing quartz and natural stone products for beautiful surfaces in kitchens and bathrooms since 2005. The new KönigOutdoor is a modular kitchen range which combines stylish sintered stone-clad cabinetry with materials of proven durability to provide a kitchen of unquestionable quality.
We have created a range of conveniently-designed modules that can be configured to meet the requirements of the customer, as well as a variety of optional features to satisfy a wide range of specifications. We can also offer bespoke services including custom unit sizes and units with sinks.
Konigstone has teamed up with Neolith, the pioneer and leader in the sintered stone market, to offer eight colour options for the KönigOutdoor units. We are also offering a selection of appliances to complete the ultimate KönigOutdoor kitchen.
Why did you decide to "diversify" into this market?
Over the past couple of years, we have seen an increase in the installation of our KönigNaturals surfaces for outdoor applications. Looking at this expanding market, it seemed there are not many suitable options for clients who demand a higher level of finish and don't want to compromise.
Much of the current offering can look very industrial with lots of stainless steel which isn't to everyone's taste and it seems that the indoor kitchen market may be moving away from this trend too. Adding sintered stone to the external doors gives a superior level of finish.
Our retailers can add an additional revenue stream that doesn't compete with anything else they offer - so they can open up their order books to existing customers as well as new ones. It also doesn't take up their fitter's time as KönigOutdoor deals with the installation of the units so, provided there is a level and flat surface, installation is taken care of.
Will your retailer network be the first to display the new range?
Yes - we want to reward the loyalty of our Königstone dealers and give them the first opportunity to reap the benefits of this revolutionary new product.
You will launch at KBB 2022; what is your target for end of 2022?
We wish to establish a good dealer network that is able to support the brand and our values of top service and quality.
What marketing plans do you have to target the consumer?
Consumer advertisements, PR and social media campaigns will combine with a brand-new website to introduce the brand initially.
