Dandelion Charm gig set for Cranbrook, Kent

Thursday 6 January 2022 - for immediate release

Dandelion Charm kick off Cranbrook's live music programme for 2022

Windy Miller's Whirligig are proud to present the brilliant Dandelion Charm live in concert at the Vestry hall in Cranbrook, Kent, on Friday 28 January.

Newhaven-based Dandelion Charm combine prog, folk and rock influences into a luxurious blend of intricate harmonies, soaring melodies, superb musicianship and heartfelt lyrics.

Very much a personal as well as a creative partnership Dandelion Charm sprang to life in 2015, the brainchild of John and Clare Fowler. Performing as both a duo and with a full band they have been memorably described as ‘like Fleetwood Mac without the drama'. The drama, of course, is to be found in the songs themselves.

With a background working in a commercial studio, John brings over twenty years of song writing and production experience to Dandelion Charm. Clare, meanwhile, is a long-time visual artist and performer and her love of storytelling manifests itself in her heartfelt lyrics and emotive delivery.

"Dandelion Charm have the songs and talent to appeal to not only prog and folk fans, but anyone who enjoys strong songwriting with blissful vocals and melodies" ~ Get Ready To Rock

As a live act Dandelion Charm have been wowing festival audiences, with slots at Purbeck Valley Folk Festival, the Cropredy Fringe and The Cambridge Rock Festival. Prestigious support slots for the likes of Gryphon, Trembling Bells and Lucid have won the band many new fans.

Promoter Keith Stockman said: "Dandelion Charm kick off a great year of Cranbrook-based gigs for us to enjoy. This duo are absolutely brilliant and are sure to wow our audience."

Tickets at £12 are available via the Windy Miller's Whirligig website and in person from Larkins' Alehouse in Cranbrook High Street.
