Q-Park has partnered with Dublin City Council to provide free bicycle parking at Q-Park The Spire car park in Dublin. This new partnership will see a section of the car park located on Marlborough Place transformed into a secure area where bicycles can be safely stored. The facility will have over 100 cycle parking spaces and is monitored by CCTV security cameras. To take advantage of this fantastic new initiative, cyclist will need to apply on the Q-Park Ireland website. They will then be sent a QR code which can be used to enter and exit the cyclist and pedestrian doors of the facility. Cyclist can apply for the QR code at www.q-park.ie/tsbp.

Free bike parking in Q-Park The Spire car park, is part of Q-Park's core strategy to transform selected parking facilities into sustainable mobility hubs in key cities across Europe. Mobility hubs have recently been developed at Q-Park locations in major European cities. These industry leading facilities host several environmentally conscious initiatives including, public EV points, commercial electric charging hubs and car share businesses. The introduction of bicycle parking at Q-Park The Spire car park is the first step in developing these mobility charging hubs in Dublin and key locations in Ireland.

Councillor Christy Burke, Chair of the Traffic and Transport SPC, said, "I am delighted with this substantial increase in secure, indoor cycle parking facilities in the city. Availability of secure cycle parking is an influential factor for people considering cycling as a mode of transport. Partnerships and initiatives such as this are essential if we are to meet our Climate Action objectives".

Brendan O'Brien, Head of Technical Service (Traffic) with Dublin City Council said "We welcome this significant increase in cycle parking in the city and we will continue to seek opportunities to deliver similar initiatives".
