Q-Park and RingGo join forces to bring innovative technology to Quality in parking

Q-Park are delighted to announce they have come to an agreement with pay by phone service RingGo. This unique agreement will combine Q-Park's innovative new PaSS system and the AutoPay feature of the RingGo platform to provide safe and secure parking to RingGo's 18 million users in the UK. All RingGo users who have registered their number plates in the app will now be able to use Q-Park facilities ticket-less and touch-free.

Q-Park have launched a new innovative parking management system called PaSS (Parking as a Smart Service).  This new Q-Park innovation combines ANPR parking technology with the seamless integration with the RingGo app to allow easy and contactless entry and exit. The parking transaction starts and ends completely autonomously and contact-free including the payment saving the parker that trip to the pay station.

RingGo is one of the most established cashless parking providers in the UK. They have partnerships with many local councils and rail infrastructure operators to provide their services for on-street parking and surface car parks across the country through an easy-to-use app instead of using pay and display machines. Users simply enter their details onto the RingGo app and pay using their card for the duration of their stay. RingGo has over 18 million users across the UK, approximately 75% of the number of motorists across the country. Whilst their blanket approach to covering parking across the country has brought tremendous success, this partnership speaks to motorists looking for this digitised payment option as well as secure parking such as those provided across the Q-Park estate.

This new technology has been rolled out across the Q-Park portfolio, with the first phase live in selected locations in Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, London, and Manchester, with a National rollout to follow. Visit the Q-Park website to find out which locations are currently live.

Adam Bidder, Managing Director at Q-Park commented "We are delighted to be able to reach an agreement with RingGo to enable parkers to combine the parking app with the safe and secure parking experience that Q-Park offer. PaSS is a real game changer in the parking industry and highlights Q-Park as a technological pioneer."

Peter O'Driscoll of RingGo commented "Both companies share a deep-rooted desire to innovate the way we move and park in the UK, so it made perfect sense to work together to make this happen. Our combined customers will now get a state-of-the-art Q-Park quality parking experience with a seamless payment process through RingGo. Together, we are leaving the way to a more digitised mobility experience."
