Yorkshire Wolds brewery shortlisted for sustainable business award
The team at a Yorkshire Wolds brewery is celebrating after reaching the final of a prestigious regional business award.
Wold Newton based Wold Top Brewery has been shortlisted for the ‘Environmental and Sustainability Award'in the 22nd annual HullLive Business Awards thatrecognise and celebrate the brilliance shown by the companies and individuals in the region who have kept the economy going during an unprecedented and challenging year.
Wold Top's director, Kate Balchin is delighted with the news: "The ‘Environmental and Sustainability Award'categoryrecognises outstanding performance in environmental responsiveness and sustainable activity and we're proud that our green initiatives have earned us a place in the final.
"We're particularly proud as the announcement comes on the back of our win in theSustainability and Environment category in the Yorkshire Post Rural Awards."
Wold Top faces competition in the final from Hull basedO&E Services Ltd. andTimloc Building Products from Howden.The winners will be announced at an event at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Hull on November 18th that will be hosted by ITV News anchor, Lucrezia Millerini and will include a keynote speech from Green & Black's co-founder and leading entrepreneur, Jo Fairley.
Wold Top Brewery was founded by in 2003 and is located on the Mellor family farm at Hunmanby Grange. The team use home grown barley and water from the farm's borehole to produce a range of award-winning cask, keg and bottled beers that are available throughout Yorkshire and nationwide.
