Yorkshire Wolds family business founders reach final of regional food awards

 

The team at a North Yorkshire rapeseed oil business are celebrating after its founders were shortlisted in the annual deliciouslyorkshire Taste Awards.

 

Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and Charlie & Ivy's founders, Adam and Jennie Palmer, have been shortlisted in the Food Hero category for people who have ‘gone above and beyond' topromote Yorkshire food and drinkin what is referred to as the largest and most respected food and drink awards in the region.

 

Adam Palmer said: "We're naturally very proud to be nominated and shortlisted for the Food Herop award but helping to promote Yorkshire's amazing producers and our fellow family businesses comes naturally and is just part of the day job!

 

"To be honest, we're more excited that our brand-new Plant Based Mayonnaise has been shortlisted in the Free From category as this marks a completely new departure for the Charlie & Ivy's brand.

 

"Whatever happens awards-wise, the dy awards events are always great fun and a good night will be had by all!"

 

Nominations for the Food Hero award are made byYorkshire food and drink businesses and the winner will be decided by a public vote. The winners will be announced atan awards dinner at thePavilions of Harrogate on Wednesday, 10th November, whenNigel Barden and Steph Moon will host an evening of champagne, local food and celebration.
