‘The Future of Hospital
Kitchens #2’ Rational seminarconsiders latest
thinking, six months on
Under
the heading, ‘The Future of Hospital Kitchens #2’, this is the second Rational
seminar to deep dive into the Hospital Food Review, the first one having taken
place six months ago. Colin Parry, Director
of Rational and a member of the seminar panel, says, “The seminar is supporting
the industry by offering hospital caterers a forum where they can continue the
Review conversation. Not only will
attendees find out what the experts are thinking, but also hear what leading
exponents are doing to fulfil the aims of the Review.”
Rational’s
latest free online hospital catering seminar considers how the landscape has
changed since the launch of the NHS Hospital Food Review. The panel of experts, including Philip
Shelley, Chair of the Review, will cover a wide range of topics, looking at the
latest ideas and strategies to promote best practice.
The
seminar takes place on Wednesday October 20th, from 3-5pm. To register to attend email seminars@rational-online.com.
On
the panel alongside Phillip Shelley and Colin Parry are Naomi Campbell RGN, an independent
hydration care nurse consultant; Tim Radcliffe, Facilities Manager at East
Lancashire Hospital; Mike Ridder of Dragon Consultancy; and Nick Vadis,
Culinary Director at Compass Group. Together
they’ll give a “six months on” progress
report and cover key topics as diverse as staffing, hydration and food to
go.
Colin Parry will also be on
the panel for the upcoming Hospital Caterers Association seminar (to run on 10th
November, 2021) where he will lead the section discussing the growing importance
of food to go in the hospital sector.
‘The
Future of Hospital Kitchens #2’ is the fifth in a series of sector-specific
online seminars run by Rational in association with The Chefs’ Forum. Each looks at, and is tailor-made for, a
specific sector, such as hospitals, education or pubs. To find out more email seminars@rational-online.com.
