LADGATE WARD BY-ELECTION RESULT

The result of the Ladgate ward by-election held on Thursday, September 16 in Middlesbrough has been announced.

Independent candidate Tony Grainge was elected to Middlesbrough Council with 362 votes.

The full results were:

Tony Grainge (Independent) 362 - 34.6% (Elected)

Paul Hamilton (Liberal Democrat) 14 - 1.3%

Vic Hoban (Independent) 3 - 0.3%

Lee Holmes (Conservative) 315 - 30.1%

Sharon Platt (Independent) 121 - 11.6%

Mick Thompson (Labour) 226 - 21.6%

Spoilt ballots 5 - 0.5%
