FORMER FAWNS NEEDED FOR TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE

The Club Fiesta in Norton opened during the swinging sixties and is now the inspiration for a world premiere production, opening at Middlesbrough Theatre on Wednesday, September 8.

The Fiesta Fawns, written and directed by Middlesbrough playwright David Tuffnell, takes a step back in time to the late 1960s, when the club was in its heyday and the Fawns were considered one of the main attractions.

Now David and his cast are putting out a call for the original Club Fiesta Fawns to get in touch and share their stories, memories and photographs.

He said: "We would be absolutely delighted to hear from any of the former Fiesta Fawns. We know how pivotal they were to the club and there is nothing better than hearing the real behind the scenes stories directly from them

"Some Fawns have already been in touch and we're keen to hear from even more - they knew everyone and everything!"

Middlesbrough Theatre Manager David Lindsey added: "We are thrilled to be working with David and his production companyless is MOREon another world premiere for Middlesbrough.

"The Club Fiesta in Norton was hugely popular and we know some of its former visitors will look forward to a trip down memory lane and to see the Fawns reimagined before their eyes."

Any former Fawns who wish to share their stories and memories can get in touch via email to:david@lessismoreproductions.co.uk.

The Fiesta Fawns can be seen at Middlesbrough Theatre from Wednesday, September 8 - Saturday, September 11.

The show includes live songs from some of the hit artists who played at the Club Fiesta during the late sixties, a three-piece band and comedy turns.

Tickets are £16.50 and are available online at www.middlesbroughtheatre.co.uk or via the box office on 01642 81 51 81.
