North Yorkshire family business shortlisted in regional food and drink awards

 

The team at a North Yorkshire rapeseed oilbusiness is celebrating after reaching the final of an awards scheme that recognises Yorkshire's food and drink businesses.

 

Thixendale based Breckenholme has been shortlisted in theProducer of the Year category in the fourth annual Garbutt + Elliott Food and Drink Business Awards.

 

Breckenholme's founder, Adam Palmer is delighted to be shortlisted: "We're thrilled to have reached the final of these high profile regional awards and we look forward to a great event with fellow Yorkshire food and drink entrepreneurs. It will be extra special given that we've not had the opportunity to meet up at the usual food events we would cross paths at over the last 18 months."

 

Breckenholme has been shortlisted alongsidefellow family businesses Wold Top Brewery, Soanes Poultry, Warrendale Wagyu and Moss Valley Fine Meats. The winners will be announced at a ceremony at York Racecourse on 16thSeptember.

 

The awards are organised by York and Leeds-based accountancy firm Garbutt + Elliottand recognise those entrepreneurs and businesses who have helped to create a thriving food and drink industry in Yorkshire.

 

Breckenholme is named after the farm near Malton that is home to their brands Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and Charlie & Ivy's.
