Insurance broker celebrates first anniversary with move to larger premises

A Plymouth-based commercial insurance broker, having recently celebrated its first anniversary, have moved to larger premises to cope with an ever-expanding client portfolio and a tripling of staff numbers since opening their doors 12 months ago.

Partners&, whose ethos is to work in partnership with clients to help them understand the insurance they have and why they have it, has grown from two members of staff to six and have moved into their larger Riverford House offices.

The team is putting their success down to a town hungry for sound advice and personal service in the commercial insurance, and particularly the cyber security risk and protection market.

Lead client adviser Alistair Ellis said,

‘We've been delighted with the welcome we've had from businesses in Plymouth and it has been our pleasure to bring the Partners& style of advice-led insurance to the town. The clue is in our name, Partners&; we very much see our clients as partners and go to great lengths to get to know them and the sectors they work in, to ensure we offer them the very best advice available.  Businesses in 2021 don't want the cheapest deal, if they did they'd go straight to the internet. Today they want the best advice that they can rely on, to protect their business, and we're here to offer it.'

Alistair continued,

‘One area we find ourselves offering advice to new clients in is cyber security, a subject that no business, large or small can afford to ignore.  We offer a bespoke cyber proposition which includes running reports on a company's vulnerability and suggesting steps to take to protect it.  Phishing attacks remain one of the most common methods of penetration; once inside a system a hacker can redirect emails, divert invoice payments and steal confidential data, generally without being detected for many weeks. Robust, bespoke cyber insurance is essential to ensure protection against potentially catastrophic losses.'
