Keller Kitchensand parent group,DKG, have recently collaborated withPlantics.Together the companies will look at how a high-quality kitchen can be manufactured entirely from roadside grass and hemp.

Hemp can be used as a raw material - it's strong, grows fast and can be cultivated on a large scale. Plantics has developed a new set of bio resins that bind hemp and grass together. This material is now used to develop circular materials which can be used for developing sustainable kitchens which still have that high-quality and beautifully-designed Keller appeal.

UK National Sales Manager, Tim Spann, commented: "I am truly proud to be part of an organisation that has become a world leader in sustainability for kitchens. The drive to find sustainable solutions in all product areas is absolutely relentless. The latest collaboration with our partners at Plantics BV is an exciting project that will be another industry first for Keller and parent group, DKG. Plantics BV is a spin-off business of the University of Amsterdam and together we aim to bring the best of Dutch innovation to sustainability."

Keller Kitchen has been a Carbon Neutral manufacturer since April 2017 and now, with the help of ZLTO, has taken the next step to becoming carbon negative.
