Operis supports green hydrogen revolution

Monday 1 March 2021 - for immediate release

Operissupports green hydrogen revolution

Operis, a leading advisor in infrastructure and energy finance, examines the challenges to the growth of green hydrogen projects in a white paper published today in partnership with law firm Dentons and engineering consultancy ILF.

With senior consultant David Drury, Operis director and head of advisory Erwan Fournis is one of the contributing authors to the paper which is called "Scaling up green hydrogen in Europe".

Governments are putting green or low carbon hydrogen at the heart of their "net zero" energy and climate policies. Low carbon hydrogen will contribute to decarbonisation through a number of applications, from energy-intensive industrial processes to transportation and to space heating.

Erwan Fournis said: "Operis expects one of these applications to be energy storage and network frequency services, eg. when hydrogen production and storage is combined with renewable electricity generation. Our project finance experience will be invaluable to investors and developers who want to move into this fast-growing sector and take advantage of Operis' unrivalled analytical resources when developing modular systems like those".
