K3
Syspro enhances ERP investment for manufacturers
Manufacturers
and distributors are now able to get more out of their ERP investment after
enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution provider K3 Syspro (K3) unveiled a
series of SYSPRO applications adding extra value and control for SYSPRO users.
The
company is experiencing more manufacturers looking to get the most out of their
SYSPRO investment throughout 2013 – a trend that was predicted by Forbes magazine
earlier in the year. As a result, the company has unveiled a number of
applications which enhance the SYSPRO user experience and enable companies to
exercise greater control and flexibility over their SYSPRO solutions.
The brand new SYSPRO App store puts control of SYSPRO in the hands of
the user and allows for customisable solutions to be developed and shared
within the SYSPRO community. It enables an organisation to easily manage and view the
applications it has already purchased to run alongside SYSPRO, providing a
quick reference for support personnel to understand which third party
applications are installed and active.
Also recently launched by K3 Syspro is the
mobile application SYSPRO Espresso, which gives manufacturers instant access to
SYSPRO from any location at any time, on any device including iPads, and mobile
touch screen devices. This helps users to increase their own customer
responsiveness and streamline business operations quickly and easily at any
time. Both products were developed and released to further enhance cost of
ownership for SYSPRO users at a time when manufacturers are looking to maximise
their ERP investment.
The two products compliment K3 Syspro’s
existing service dedicated to evaluating SYSPRO use for users and identifying
additional modules or applications that can help enhance SYSPRO’s
effectiveness. The K3 Gap Analysis is a service that had been offered by the
company for a number of years but the service has never been more in demand.
The Gap Analysis puts K3’s SYSPRO experts into the business of an individual
user where they analyse how the ERP solution is being used before they identify
ways to maximise the solution. It is a service that was of great benefit to
electronics manufacturer Swansea Industrial Components (SIC) who made
improvements to their reporting and data management functions within SYSPRO,
following a Gap Analysis.
“The Gap
Analysis has undoubtedly improved our performance and profitability and its
legacy continues to bring value to us today. We refer to the report constantly
as it helps us to continue to get the most out of our SYSPRO investment and
keep up with the latest SYSPRO developments. Our customers also benefit from
the gap analysis because it has helped us to identify many new ways of
communicating with them and delivering a better service,” says Clive Smith, Financial
Controller, SIC.
These products and services all bring
greater benefits to SYSPRO users and their development and increase in demand
demonstrates that manufacturers and distributors are paying more careful
attention to their ERP investment now, than they ever did before.
Paul Roebuck, Sales and Marketing Director,
K3 Syspro added: “We work very closely with our customers to help them get
the very best out of their SYSPRO investment. Earlier in the year it was
predicted that ERP users would want more control over their ERP systems and we
have tailored our products and services to suit this growing need. It is great
that users of ERP are now better educated about the software and want to use it
to its full potential. We will continue to make this easier for them.”
