Sierra Designs Launches Zipperless Sleeping Bags in the UK

An innovative design concept has been introduced to the UK market by US sleeping bag brand, Sierra Designs.  Instead of a zip which can add weight and restrict movement, the range of zipperless bags feature an oversized integrated comforter that works with an insulated shoulder pocket and crescent shaped opening to keep the comforter wrapped around the body whilst asleep and prevent heat loss.  This effectively seals out draughts and delivers a new level of comfort without a feeling of being confined and in warmer weather the comforter can simply be folded out of the way.

The Cloud 800 model is aimed at the fast-moving outdoor enthusiast, reduces weight in a number of innovative ways and is suitable for 3- season camping and backpacking trips.  Constructed with an ultra-light 15D nylon ripstop shell and liner and 800 fill power DriDown™ insulation which maintains thermal efficiency even when damp, the Cloud 800 offers an ultra- comfortable lightweight mummy bag with superior warmth. It features the patented self-sealing foot vent and a pad sleeve, allowing the circulation of air and easy movement in the bag.

Forming part of the zipperless range, the Frontcountry Bed 20 delivers supreme comfort in a much roomier design. Designed for living in one spot - glamping, car camping or caravanning this  zipperless bag with synthetic insulation is as comfortable as your bed at home! The Queen size even accepts a Queen size air mattress. The front of the bag works the same as a quilt at home, that you can wrap around our pull out to get comfortable. It also features hand and arm warmers as well as a foot vent for added ventilation.
