Rarely does a week pass without another revelation about the dire environmental consequences as a result of the proliferation of plastic waste.

In the last few days alone the Sunday Times Business section ran an article highlighting the increase in plastic production and the need for proper disposal. A few days later the BBC Environment correspondent focused on the recent findings that the River Thames has some of the highest microplastics contamination in the world - again due partly to disposal questions. QM Recycled Energy (QMRE) is one of the companies that are doing something positive about the problem - in our case by taking the plastic waste and turning it into oil and eventually renewable plastic.
