Carrs add splashes of vibrant colour to new luxury silverware collection

CARRS ADD SPLASHES OF VIBRANT COLOUR TO NEW LUXURY SILVERWARE COLLECTION

Renowned British silverware manufacturer Carrs Silver's latest collection is punctuated by jewel-like colours which give it a luxurious edge.

The Sheffield manufacturer's new Carrs Collection 2014 includes an elegant ensemble of sterling silver and silver-plated gifts, table accessories and cutlery with specially selected top designs hand-finished with eye-catching enamelling.

Managing director of the family-run business, Richard Carr said: "Silver continues to be a popular choice, especially for special occasion gifts and here in Sheffield we're always looking for ways to make our collection reflect current fashions whilst retaining its classic styling.

"Our team is highly skilled in a number of hand-finishes, and with the increasing trend for more personalised gifts, we believe our new collection highlights will appeal to customers looking for something that's a bit special."

Highlights in the children's gift range include an "abc" enamelled frame and matching keepsake box (photos attached), and honey jar and toothfairy keepsake boxes (photos attached) where the injection of colour is particularly effective. A perfect gift to mark a birth or christening, the new Ribbon Enamelled Collection is available in either pink or blue and includes a frame, napkin ring, and honey bear or plain keepsake box (photos attached).

In the men's gift range, there are new sterling silver cufflink designs including some with coloured enamel designs and co-ordinating keyrings, and the subtly engraved new Sunrise Collection includes cufflinks, a money clip, business card holder and bookmark with spaces for personalised engraving.

Mindful of rising silver costs, Carrs continues to research and develop innovative engineering and manufacturing processes which mean it can maintain its high product quality, while keeping costs competitive. The new Berkeley silver frame is a perfect example of how the experienced team strikes the perfect balance between quality and affordability.

All the sterling silver and silver-plated gifts are manufactured in Sheffield and hallmarked at the Sheffield Assay Office. Carrs is proud to be a member of the prestigious "Made in Sheffield" www.madeinsheffield.org initiative, one of the few city trademarks to be recognised throughout the world, and uses the brand to reinforce its Sheffield heritage and credentials.

This year, the company has embarked on a marketing campaign, incorporating traditional and social media, to raise brand awareness and support its international network of stockists, including independent jewellery retailers and department store chains, as well as its own retail outlets in Harrods, Selfridges and Sheffield.
