Driffield poultry business shortlisted for regional food and drink award

 

 

The team at an East Yorkshire poultry business is celebrating after reaching the final of a prestigious regional food and drink business award.

 

Middleton on the Wolds based Soanes Poultry has been shortlisted in the ‘Producer of the Year' category in the third annual Garbutt and Elliott Food and Drink Business Awards that celebrateYorkshire's burgeoning food and drink sector from growers and manufacturers to leisure and hospitality businesses.

 

Soanes Poultry's Head of Sales and Marketing, Ben Lee is pleased with the news: "The ‘Producer of the Year' category celebrates those farmers, growers and creators who are doing something exceptional, and we're very proud to be included in the final four."

 

Soanes Poultry faces competition in the final from Annabel's Deliciously British Strawberries, Whitakers Chocolates and Just Desserts. The winners will be announced at an event in the Parade Ring Restaurant at York Racecourse on 30thApril.

 

Soanes Poultry is a family owned business that has been rearing and preparing chicken for 73 years. It supplies butchers and independent retailers in Yorkshire and wholesalers nationwide.
