Two Entrepreneurs fight deadly climate changedisease

Dear news team

ENTREPRENEURS FORM BUSINESS TO FIGHT THE SPREAD OF CLIMATE CHANGE RELATED DISEASE

I have a story about a pair of young entrepreneurs from Stevenage who met in the local gym.

Joe Finn and Florin Mangu have brought together their expertise in the fields of technology and water hygiene to develop a smart sensor that could potentially save thousands of lives every year.

Joe Finn - a former personal trainer and water engineer met Florin Mangu who studied at the University of Hertfordshire when Florin asked Joe to train him.

The training didn't go well but the two men combined their skills to form a business designed to reduce the number of outbreaks of Legionnaires disease in the UK.

Legionnaires Disease is a serious type of pneumonia that can be fatal. Until recently it was seen as a disease of the past, but it is making a dramatic comeback across England and Wales which is believed to be due in part to climate change (2019 being the second hottest year on record) and poor hygiene standards in large buildings such as hotels and hospitals.

To deal with this Joe and Florin have developed the Remote Tech S1 intelligent sensor which uses 'Internet of Things' technology to monitor the risk of the legionella bug making it an invaluable tool for helping to prevent the spread of the extremely harmful disease.

It has been widely reported in the trade press.  Now Joe and Florin's company has trials underway across a range of industry sectors including the NHS, Nuclear Power, Energy, Retail, Local Government and more.

Joe and Florin are available for interview about the spread of the disease, how they brought their expertise together and the importance of believing in yourself and your business idea for it to stand the chance of becoming a success.
