Yorkshire whisky distillery welcomes Andy Stones to its next Distillery Session

Yorkshire whisky distillery welcomes Andy Stones to its ‘twixtmas' Distillery Session

York born singer, songwriter and guitarist, Andy Stones will bridge the gap between Christmas and New Year festivities when he performs at the Spirit of Yorkshire distillery in Hunmanby on 27th December.

Spirit of Yorkshire co-founder and keen musician, Tom Mellor is delighted to welcome Mr Stones back to the Pot Still stage: "A regular at the Moonbeams Festival and a Distillery Sessions favourite, Andy has been writing and playing on and off for 20 years, picking up varied influences along the way from people such as Paul Simon, John Martyn and Clive Gregson. He will be performing a mixture of his own songs and a selection of his favourite covers, with his customary chat in between. It promises to be a great evening of live entertainment in a unique venue."

Tickets cost £10 without food, £15.50 with a cheese board or £16.50 with a charcuterie or ploughman's platter. Booking is essential by visiting www.spiritofyorkshire.co.uk or by calling 01723 891758.

Tom and fellow co-founder, David Thompson share a love of live music and they designed the Pot Still Coffee Shop so that it could accommodate a live band without overpowering the room.

"The Pot Still Coffee Shop at the Spirit of Yorkshire is a small, intimate venue that attracts lovers of live music and good food. Where else in the area can you listen to quality music and enjoy a locally sourced platter of food for £16.50?" Mr Mellor concluded.

Forthcoming events at Spirit of Yorkshire include Friday night jazz and blues on 13th December and 9th January and singer songwriter Rachel Makena on 31st January.

In addition to music and pop up food events, visitors to Spirit of Yorkshire can enjoy guided

Tours of the Distillery and home-made refreshments fromPot Still Coffee Shop seven days a week, all year round.

Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery is home to Yorkshire's first single malt whisky, Filey Bay.
