Capital Civils Ltd Provide Vital Connection for Seven Mile House

Civil Engineering Company Connect Local Landmark to Mains Sewers for DSR Tax Claims Ltd Refurbishment Project

With its official opening by the Mayor of Gedling on Friday 22ndNovember 2019 just days away, the Seven Mile House refurbishment project is entering its final phase. In order that the piece of Nottinghamshire history is able to function as the headquarters of a modern business, David Redfern, Managing Director ofDSR Tax Claims Ltdhas been busy bringing the building, which dates back to the 18thcentury, firmly into the present day whilst retaining its original character. Gathering a team of the best of local business and tradespeople in his mission to renew the faded landmark, Redfern has completed a full refurbishment of the building and its surroundings.

Whilst not as appealing to some as the more aesthetically pleasing aspects of refurbishment, ensuring that the project's infrastructure was renewed to the same high standards as the interiors and exteriors was an essential part of the renovation project. Redfern explained "Seven Mile House is our new headquarters and will not only allow us to continue to provide the excellent levels of customer service to our clients that we currently do but will also allow us to grow and expand as a company so it has been a vital part of the project that the building not only looks beautiful but will enable us to build on our successes. This means paying as much attention to the infrastructure as the more attractive aspects of the refurbishment. When we started the project, Seven Mile House wasn't even connected to the mains sewers - something that I was keen to remedy, so we brought in Capital Civils Ltd as the local experts in this kind of large, civil engineeringproject".

Capital Civils Ltd, based in Watnall, Nottingham, have over 20 years of experience and expertise in civil engineering and groundworks projects for both the public and private sector. Experts in build excavations, roadand sewer projects, footings, water and drainage connections and bases as well as infrastructure projects such as deep drainage sewer connections, road and curb construction, rising mains and manhole construction and repair, Capital Civils were tasked with the job of changing Seven Mile House's previous septic tank waste system to a full connection to the local main sewers.

On Capital Civils involvement in the Seven Mile refurbishment project, Kevin Cafferkey, Director of Capital Civils stated "We were tasked with providing a new drainage scheme for the Seven Mile House project for DSR Tax Claims Ltd.  We were given strict deadlines and a tight budget to meet by David Redfern and found him a dream to work with.  We have collaborated on several projects and found this one to be very rewarding.  This was because the property was originally connected to a septic tank and we were modernising it by connecting it to the main sewers.   Given the weather conditions we have faced it proved tricky but we worked tirelessly to get the job done". Redfern added "For such a huge infrastructure task in the renovation, we knew we needed civil engineering experts in order to get it done quickly, efficiently and well and Capital Civils went the extra mile to ensure that our refurbishment project ran smoothly and with a connection to the main sewers, Seven Mile House is now ready to be the base for a thriving 21stcentury business".

The official opening of Seven Mile House takes place this Friday, 22ndNovember 2019, at 3pm and will be attended by the Mayor of Gedling and will celebrate the wealth of local talent involved in the refurbishment project, followed by a drinks reception for guests.
