Yorkshire's first whisky distillery welcomes Hull musician Jack Parker to its monthly music night

A musician dubbed by Soundsphere magazine as ‘one of Hull's most innovative artists' will make his debut at Spirit of Yorkshire's Distillery Sessions next month.

Jack Parker, who, according to BBC Radio Introducing's Alan Raw ‘as a live performer, Jack just gets better and better', will perform at the Hunmanby distillery that is home to Yorkshire's first single malt whisky, Filey Bay, on Friday 29^th November.

Spirit of Yorkshire co-founder and keen musician, David Thompson, is delighted to welcome Jack to the distillery for the first time: "We're always looking for talented artists who can engage with our audience in this unique venue overlooking the stills, and from what we have seen and heard, Jack fits the bill perfectly.

"He is currently working on his debut album and has appeared at numerous festivals in Europe and the UK including Costa Del Folk, The Great British Folk Festival and the prestigious Cambridge Folk Festival, where he was said ‘to have ‘held the audience in his hand."

Tickets for the event cost £10 and from £15.50 with a choice of distillery deli boards. They are available online at spiritofyorkshire.com or by calling 01723 891758.

Forthcoming music events at the Pot Still Coffee Shop include Friday night jazz and blues on 8^th November and 13^th December and Fawn on 27^th December.

Tours of the Distillery are available seven days a week and home-made refreshments are served in the Pot Still Coffee Shop that overlooks the stills from 9.30am - 5pm Monday - Saturday, 10am - 3pm Sundays.
