East Yorkshirepoultry business welcomes newrecruits

East Yorkshire poultry supplier Soanes Poultry has appointed two new staff members to support the growing business.

The Middleton-on-the-Wolds based business's team has been boosted by the appointment of Factory Manager, Chris Deakin and Sales Co-ordinator, Tammy McDonald.

Mr Deakin joins Soanes Poultry from the sea fish industry and is responsible forall aspects of the factory including production, labour, yield and driving continuous improvement. 

Of the move, Mr Deakin said: "It's great to work for a family business that has not lost sight of the high standards set by the founder, Tom Soanes over 70 years ago." Out of work, he enjoys family time, golf and a roast chicken dinner.

Miss McDonald joins the poultry business from Yorkshire wholesaler Turner Price and her role includesco-ordinating national and regional sales and providing a sales link between the production and dispatch functions. When's she's not at work, sheenjoys tinkering with cars and engines and outings with her family.

Soanes Poultry is a family owned business which has been rearing and preparing chicken for over 70 years. It employs over 100 people and sells its chicken to butchers and independent retailers in Yorkshire and to wholesalers nationwide.
