PRESS RELEASE                                                    Thursday 5 September, 2019

Beverley Building Society further expands its mortgage club reach, by joining L&G

We're today pleased to announce that we have become part of Legal & General Mortgage Club's lender panel.

This latest relationship is part of our strategy of engaging with as many mortgage intermediaries as possible across the UK.

The Society's Head of Lending, Graham Carter, said: "It’s a real privilege to be accepted onto the panel of this leading club and we’re excited about the opportunities this will give us to bring our highly personalised service to more people.

“At the Beverley, we specialise in a number of key areas, including mortgages for self-employed people, self-build mortgages and later-life lending, coupled with a common sense approach geared towards considering each case on its merits and striving to say ‘yes’ wherever we can.”

We lend throughout England and Wales and below are a few examples of standout elements of our mortgage offering:

·      Self-build mortgages with flexible stage releases

·      Self-employed home loans with as little as one year’s trading in some cases

·      Later-life lending – including interest only and retirement interest only (RIO)

·      We also accept parental guarantors or joint mortgage sole proprietor arrangements for first time buyers

·      We don’t credit score, underwriting each case individually.

Visit our website for more information about the Society, our criteria and products.

About Beverley Building Society

Beverley is the only independent building society in East Yorkshire. We have been supporting our community since 1866 and are committed to contributing to the vibrancy of our region by making a difference.

As a true independent, we are committed to living mutuality by building better futures for our members, new and existing borrowers and savers, our people, our community and our sector at large.

We’re powered by highly committed colleagues who go over and above, every day, to offer our customers quality, friendly, personal service.

In an age where the financial services market is moving, at pace, towards AI-powered, automated solutions, we believe there is a place for people-centred financial services and are passionate about maintaining that personal touch.

We aim to make enough profit to ensure the Society is financially strong and sustainable, and can invest in continual product and service improvements for our members. We do not pay staff bonuses and all our profits are re-invested to support this goal.
