New contact centre brings potential 250 jobs to the region
A successful northern based
outsourcer has opened a new 250-seater site in Sheffield amid huge expansion
plans.
Headquartered in Boldon in the
North East, EC Outsourcing has recently undergone major growth with the
addition of new clients and new workstreams with existing clients. The site
opened in central Sheffield last week and will bring up to 250 new jobs
to the area.
The leading sales and customer
service specialist provides expert solutions to a range of large energy, gaming
and financial brands across the UK and Ireland.
Commercial Director Richard
Knox said: “Following the substantial campaign growth as well as the addition
of new clients, our site at Boldon is almost at capacity and it’s time to
expand our commercial offering into other regions in the UK.
“Sheffield City Region is home
to over 50 contact centres employing over 30,000 people, making it a perfect
choice as our next location to drive the business forward.
“We launched last week
with a team of 20 high quality agents, with the aim to increase that number to
100 people by the end of Quarter one 2020.”
The new site will initially
house outbound sales campaigns for some leading energy brands, including energy
giant ESB Energy, who are owned by the Irish government and already run a very
successful sales campaign with the outsourcer.
Kris Jakobsen, Sales Director at ESB Energy, said: “EC has been one of the strongest players in our channel this year. This is testament to the management team and the strong relationship we have made quickly.
“EC has made success of both
our existing products and our new initiatives this year, which is why we have
decided to expand the campaign to a second site in Sheffield.”
One of the leading competitors
in the contact centre sector, EC continues to grow its headquarters in Boldon
as well as branch out to strengthen its brand and commercial reach in the UK.
Knox continues: “Our growth is
being accelerated by the expansion of workstreams from our clients and the
commitment and hard work from our ever-expanding team of people, who are the
drivers of the successes EC has achieved since 2013.”
The privately-owned company
currently employs more than 300 staff, with that number ever increasing as the
company continues to win new business.
EC Outsourcing has seen impressive
growth since founding in 2013, going from strength to strength and adding some
big brand names to its portfolio.
