About Hope for Tomorrow

Hope for Tomorrow is a dedicated charity, bringing cancer care closer to patients' homes via our Mobile Cancer Care Units (MCCUs).

Fighting cancer is one of the hardest things any one will ever have to do, even without the additional stress of spending hours travelling long distances to hospitals to receive treatment. This is why Hope for Tomorrow brings cancer care closer to patient's homes, to ease the strains of travel and to give them more time with their loved ones.

We work in a unique partnership with the NHS helping to ease capacity challenges at hospital trusts. We now have 10 MCCUs operational in Gloucestershire, Somerset, South Wiltshire, East Kent, Lincolnshire, Cornwall, West Suffolk, East Essex, London/ Surrey and West Yorkshire, with two reserve MCCUs in place to ensure continuity of service during the maintenance schedule. We also provide a Nurses Support Vehicle with each MCCU, which allows the nursing team to travel to and from the daily treatment locations.

The charity won a Queen's Award for Enterprise - Innovation, in 2016. The Award is the UK's highest accolade for business success, and was made in recognition of our achievements since the Founder, Christine Mills MBE, set up Hope for Tomorrow in 2003.

Our Gloucestershire Mobile Cancer Care Unit ‘Helen' visits Tewkesbury, Stroud, Cirencester and Cinderford on a weekly basis. For details of other MCCU locations please visit our website:

About Construction Excellence

Constructing Excellence Gloucestershire Club (or CEGlos) is a regional hub of the Constructing Excellence South West and national Constructing Excellence group, which is delivered with BRE. Nationally, Constructing Excellence Gloucestershire was formed over 15 years ago and is a recognised and respected platform for industry improvement which aims to deliver excellence for clients, industry and users through collaborative working.

CEGlos reflects the aims and values of our national parent organisation and brings together stakeholders from across the construction sector to network together and educate each other.

CEGlos is one of the most active Constructing Excellence clubs with over 50 member organisations and hosting at least 12 events each year. The Club operates as a not-for-profit organisation and is run by a committee of volunteer members.

We run a busy and varied events programme which includes site visits, multi-speaker events, discussion forums and social events. As our members represent the full spectrum of stakeholders in the construction sector, from education providers to clients, main contractors, specialist sub-contractors, suppliers and professionals, we are able to ensure a range of events with appeal across our industry.
