New Constructional Steel business for Barrett Steel / bs037-WM / 14.05.13

Barrett Steel Group has launched the new Barrett Constructional Steel business to extend its service to customers in the construction sector nationwide. The new business includes state-of-the-art facilities at Corngreave Industrial Estate, Cradley Heath.

Danie[image]l Redgwick, General Manager, Barrett Constructional Steel, explains: "The new business was established as a centralised operation to meet the growing demand from the UK construction industry. We will offer our customers all the benefits of being part of the UK's largest independent steel stockholder, including access to the Barrett Group's resources, buying power and expertise as well as its comprehensive stock range."

Daniel Redgwick, who was previously Sales Manager at the Barrett Group, Bradford site, adds: "We have worked with clients in the structural fabrication and construction markets for many years for projects such as bridges, hospitals, schools, shopping centres and industrial buildings. The new business will further refine our service to clients, building on our reputation throughout the UK and overseas for supplying premium quality, competitively priced raw materials and semi-finished products."

Recent years have seen the Barrett Group invest heavily in their steel products portfolio and stock handling facilities. Barrett Constructional's extensive dockside facility allows them to offer a quicker and more efficient delivery service to their customers. The full range of structural sections can be split into part bundles at the dockside ready for delivery using their own transport fleet to customers throughout the UK.

Strategically located processing facilities in the West Midlands, Bradford and Scunthorpe, enable Barrett Constructional's customers to benefit from a wide range of services including: saw cutting, drilling, punching, shearing, shotblasting & primer painting, profiling and laser cutting of both tubular and flat products.
