Coming straight from the main stage of WOMAD where she sang with Malmsbury Schools and Bollywood Brass Band, Unnatiwill appear for the first time at the esteemed jazz club- The Pheasantry, in Chelsea on Friday 23rdAugust. In addition,Unnati's sufi song, 'Teri Yaad Aati Hain' has been selected by DJ Ravin to feature on CD 1 of Buddha Bar's Ultimate Collection, a 10 CD Compilation set due for release ahead of Unnati's forthcoming album.

Accompanied by her jazz trio, the talented singer-songwriter-composer and multi-instrumentalist is guaranteed to delight an audience of both loyal fans and regulars to the jazz club.

Unnati's mellifluous renditionof original and cover songs and transcendent and evocative vocals cleverly fuse South Asian spiritual and classical Indian music with jazz, folk and pop creating an international crossover sound.

Trained by her father, the late Indian classical vocalist Nitai Dasgupta, who himself learnt from Ustad Amir Khan, Unnati went on to release an album with her sister Preeti in 2002 which led to a successful six city tour around India. In 2005, she was one of six semi-finalists of the Glastonbury Unsigned Artists Jazz World heat.

Unnati has since performed at prestigious venues globally including The Royal Albert Hall, Southbank Centre, Cadogan Hall and at London's Pizza Express Jazz Club and Westminster Abbey where she sang at Sir Richard Attenborough's Memorial Service.  She has also taken the stage at Mexico's Cervantino Festival, Boubou's Music Festival in the Caribbean and The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival in Mumbai.
