New book out during Men's Health Week: The Lean Exec 10-16 June

Good morning,

We'd like to introduce you to ‘The Lean Exec': a new book due out during Men's Health Week (10-16 June) by Neill David Watson. The Lean Exec is written from the perspective of an entrepreneurial executive (with Personal Training qualifications) who has had real world experience losing health and fitness in his 20s and reclaiming his health and fitness in his late 30s (now age 40) against the backdrop of a busy family life and senior, mostly office-based, management career.

The Lean Exec book, website and content have been created to help other busy, entrepreneurs and career-focused people reclaim their health and fitness.

This is not about quick body transitions or just getting ready to look good on the beach this summer.  It lays bare a simple, efficient and attainable approach and philosophy that can be used to reclaim and build strong, athletic health and fitness into a long term way of life.

The author's aim is to share his experience, perspective, thoughts and approach in a way that may help others to carve their own health and fitness success journey to the level they choose.

Advance review copies of The Lean Exec are available, and we can connect you with Neill for interview, comment and editorial. Neill has written a series of ‘top ten' articles and advice pieces that are on hand for media use. We'd love to work with you to spread the word about this new book! The Advance Information Media Sheet can be found below...

Thanks,

Struggling to fit exercise and eating right around long work days?

Spend your day commuting, at your desk, and in meetings?

The Lean Exec will help you get motivated, get fit and get mentally and emotionally stronger in as little as three hours a week!

A blue and white textDescription automatically generatedNeill Watson's symmitarian philosophy stems from 20 years of testing and improving his knowledge of fitness, nutrition and resistance training for optimal results in the minimum time. As well as being a qualified Personal Trainer, his technique is stripped down and achievable due to its foundation in real-world action and results.

This no-nonsense guide is full of hacks and tips that will help you to optimise your precious time to get fit and stay fit. From how to get the most out of training in as little as three hours per week, to how to avoid fad dieting while making realistic, healthier eating work for you, his approach will help you reach your goals, whether that's enhancing strength, building muscle, reducing fat or just progressing your fitness, no matter what your week throws at you!

While working demanding hours building his career, Neill noticed that many around him had let their health and fitness go (like he did for a few years), due to juggling busy work and home lives. He was determined to find and share a solution that could fit into even the busiest of exec schedules. Based on the training and nutrition approach that delivered his personal results, Neill crafted and perfected his system into a blueprint: The Lean Exec.

About the author

A person wearing a suit and tieDescription automatically generatedNicknamed "Gym Boy" by friends when he was 19 due to his dedication to training and personal fitness development at University, Neill now has over 20 years of knowledge balancing, unbalancing and rebalancing strength, fitness and health with a demanding, challenging career and personal life.

A qualified Personal Trainer and entrepreneur at his core, Neill has built a career in new ventures, creative technology and corporate start-up, including working with major organisations including Virgin Money, Warner Bros, and Shanghai Media Group. Through this journey Neill has had to find ways to optimise fitness and nutrition techniques to fit in progression and recovery alongside demanding (mostly sedentary) work hours and pressures.

Now a founder and Director at boutique consultancy, Bigger Brother, Neill wrote The Lean Exec during his time at Virgin Money to share his fitness challenges, mistakes, learnings and solutions - to help other people with busy careers and family lives, cut to the benefits faster and find the balance they want to achieve with fitness, strength and health alongside their everyday life.
