An Independent Living scheme in Stafford is set to throw open its doors this week to showcase how it's delivering a range of comfortable and affordable accommodation options for people aged 55 and above.

Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) manages 18 schemes across the Borough, providing a range of benefits for older customers looking to maintain their independence while enjoying the privacy of having their own front door.

On Friday, April 5, the Independent Living Scheme at Marston Court in Stafford will be staging an open day for potential customers and their families.

Hayley Murphy, Independent Living Manager at SARH, explained: "Schemes such as Marston Court are ideal for both individuals and couples looking to downsize or looking for a little additional peace of mind as they get older.

"They can also enjoy all the benefits of being part of a thriving community without sacrificing their privacy.

"Customers come and go as they please, but with the added security of knowing that they can call for help any time they're at home thanks to the SARH You First Telecare Service, which provides emergency cover 24 hours a day, 365 days a year."

The doors at Marston Court, which also has a shared lounge and other communal facilities, will be open between 2 and 4pm on Friday April 5.  Members of the SARH Independent Living team will be on hand to answer any questions from potential customers or their families.

"A number of customers are also looking forward to meeting our visitors and will be happy to share their experiences of living in our modern, self-contained apartments," Hayley added.
