Lhoist employees to Walk Again for disability charity!

 

On Monday 25thMarch at 11.30am a team of employees from the Lhoist plant in Whitwell will set off, from the front gate, for an hour's walk around Creswell Crags.

 

This is in aid of the worldwide Marc Herrimans charityTo Walk Againwhich offers rehabilitation and revalidation equipment to adults and children with physical disabilities.

 

This is all part of a larger corporate challenge from LhoistentitledMove & Care,where all employees throughout the world have been invited to count their kilometers when walking, running or bike riding.

 

When employees throughout the international group of Lhoist companies, collectively reach 200,000km Lhoist will make a significant donation to the disability charity,To Walk Again.

 

‘Everyone is looking forward to the day,' commented Whitwell Plant Manager Adam Taylor. ‘During this time we will also show our commitment of being a good neighbours and carry out litter-picking duties around the area'.

 

‘TheTo Walk Againfoundationis a brilliant charity and deserves our full support. It helpskids and adults with physical disabilities in their rehabilitation process, by keeping them as active as possible,' concluded Adam.

 

The event will finish at 12.30pm atCreswell Crags Visitor Centrewhere everyone will have lunch and a reward will be presented to the team which has collected the most rubbish.
