Yorkshire whisky distillery welcomes Carrie Martin to monthly music session

Yorkshire's first whisky distillery welcomes Carrie Martin to its monthly music night

Hull born singer and musician, Carrie Martin will be the next artist to perform at the Pot Still Coffee Shop when she plays the Spirit of Yorkshire venue in Hunmanby on 29th March.

Spirit of Yorkshire co-founder, David Thompson is delighted to welcome Carrie back to the Pot Still stage after a sell-out debut last year: "Carrie resurrected a love of music that she had held since childhood and returned to writing, playing, singing and performing in 2011, once she had raised her family. She has continued to enthrall audiences with her Eva Cassidy inspired music ever since and it will be a joy to welcome her back to the Pot Still stage."

Tickets cost £10 without food, £15.50 with a cheese board or £16.50 with a charcuterie or ploughman's platter. Booking is essential by visiting or by calling 01723 891758.

David and fellow co-founder Tom Mellor share a love of live music and they specifically designed the Pot Still Coffee Shop so that it accommodates a live band without overpowering the room.

David added: "The Pot Still Coffee Shop at the Spirit of Yorkshire is a small, intimate venue and the monthly Distillery Sessions and Jazz and Blues nights attract lovers of live music and good food who don't necessarily want to travel to a large town or a city."

Forthcoming events at the Pot Still Coffee Shop at The Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery include Alastair James' monthly Jazz and Blues set on 8th March, a ‘Spirit of Bullion Chocolate' tasting event on 15th March plus Distillery Sessions featuring Robert Schmuck (31st May) and Raven (28th June).

In addition to music and pop up food events, visitors to Spirit of Yorkshire can enjoy guided Tours of the Distillery and home-made refreshments from the Pot Still Coffee Shop seven days a week, all year round.
