NIBE ACCREDITED TO PROVIDE BPEC VENTILATION COURSE

This year Swedish heat pump manufacturer NIBE will be providing the BPEC Domestic Ventilation Installer Course from its Chesterfield training facility.

The BPEC Domestic Ventilation Course has been specifically designed to provide electricians, plumbers, heating engineers and ventilation engineers with the knowledge and skills to correctly install and commission domestic ventilation systems.

"Our latest course is a welcome addition and will support our network of VIP installers to fully understand how domestic ventilation systems work and how they are installed;" said Robin Adderley Sales Director NIBE UK. "2018 saw the launch of the NIBE ERS Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems  which are an excellent complement to our market leading heat pump product range and which enables us to offer a complete package.  This BPEC course will therefore, further enhance the knowledge of attendees to create the perfect indoor climate for their customers."

The course has been structured to meet the requirements of the Approved Document Part F of the Building Regulations 2010 and is recognised as a demonstration of competence for Competent Person Schemes (CPS).

The two day course covers Domestic Ventilation in context, Airflow Requirements and Calculations, Health and safety and Installation, Inspection, Testing Commissioning and Provision of Information.

The NIBE ERS offers a complete mechanical ventilation and heat recovery solution for use with  NIBE Ground Source and Air Source Heat Pump systems. Available in two fan capacities the ERS20-250 is suited to smaller houses and apartments up to 200m2 and the ERS10-400 is a higher output product suited to larger dwellings up to 300m2.

As the NIBE ERS is uniquely controlled from the heat pump it ensures that indoor ventilation is regulated as well as temperature, and as it is possible to manage up to four ERS systems from one heat pump even the very largest dwellings can be catered for. Using NIBE UPLINK the entire climate system  has the benefit of being remotely controlled and managed via the internet.

"Training and awareness is so important to ensure our products are installed and operated correctly and we take great pride in supporting installers with this," said Robin. "It all helps to give confidence to our installers and to ensure consumers receive the very best service from the entire NIBE team."

Course dates for 2019 are 26th/27th March, 28th/29th May, 30th/31st July, 24th/25th September, 26th/27th November. All courses are held at NIBE's Chesterfield Training Venue.

Places on each course much be pre-booked and this can be done by visitinghttps://www.nibe.eu/en-gb/vip-installers/training/bpec-ventilation-course

Please note that trainees should hold a formal craft qualification e.g. N/SVQ 2/3 in Electrical, Plumbing, Heating or Heating and Ventilation and have a working knowledge of the construction of dwellings.
