Who?Property renovation guru,Sarah Beeny and her husband, Graham Swift

Where?A studio apartment in London

What?Renovations of the entire property, including the kitchen, bathroom and living area

When? The kitchen and shower room was installed by TREND Transformations in a matter of days. The entire renovation took just three months

Property guru, Sarah Beeny, found fame in 2001, presenting the popular home renovation show,Property Ladder. The show documented amateur property developers upscaling unloved properties, with insight and best practice offered by Sarah. 17 years on and Sarah - with the help of husband, Graham Swift - has injected a sense of modernity into the way in which she shares her top tips with her loyal following.

Whilst renovating the 250 sq ft space, Sarah hosted a series of short social media videos, documenting the renovation and sharing ‘top tips' with her online audience

Whilst all components of the design are just what you would come to expect from Sarah and her eye for remarkable style, the kitchen and bathroom are Sarah's favourite spaces. The space was designed collaboratively between Sarah, Graham and the team at TREND Transformations (formerly known as Granite Transformations) and installed within a matter of days. Using vast sheets of TREND's innovative replacement splashback and worktop composite, the boutique hotel feel was incorporated throughout both the kitchen and bathroom, at a fraction of the cost of a solid marble counterpart.

Sarah explains"One of thebiggest mistakes in property renovation is assuming that small spaces need less work when, in fact, small spaces can often rival larger spaces in beauty and functionality. It's about being creative with every square inch, without compromising on design. When we were planning the refurbishment of  this studio apartment, I spoke with TREND Transformations about the redesign of the small kitchen and bathroom. The ease of install is so convenient - the team was in and out in a matter of days - and the design is in line with the modern, elegant style of the refurb. We couldn't be happier with the finished look."

Sarah and Graham wanted the bathroom space to provide plenty of storage, with innovative solutions within the limited space, without minimising the opportunity for creative style solutions. The kitchen also called for a look that is as functional as it is beautiful. They worked closely with Product Install Manager, Dave Rosaman, and the rest of the design team at TREND Transformations, to create the bespoke designs. Working with a design team is a complimentary service offered at all TREND Transformations and Granite Transformations showrooms around the UK.

Dave adds, "We used the TREND Statuario Origina composite in both the kitchen and bathroom, replicating the boutique hotel look which is so popular. In the bathroom, we adapted the design to incorporate two walls in our Polar Ice design, which complements the tone of the marble effect and gave the room a sense of depth. The design suits the space perfectly."
