NewVIc opens its doors to local schools affected by spider infestation
With seven schools in Newham now affected by the false widow spider infestation, NewVIc has been working to rearrange classroom timetables in order to free up teaching space for affected schools.
Today, NewVIc welcomed Lister School to take over the 3rd floor of their newly built Learning Resource Centre so that students could continue their lessons.
"We are more than pleased to be doing everything we can in supporting our local community at this time. NewVIc works closely with local schools providing educational and career development programmes as well as sharing our sports and performing arts spaces. We recognise the impact school closure has on students' learning and their families, particularly regarding child care arrangements. We're looking forward to welcoming back familiar faces into our college."
