Yorkshire's first distillery welcomes Scarborough sextet to its monthly music night


Scarborough sextet, Raven will be the next artists to perform at the Pot Still Coffee Shop when they play the Spirit of Yorkshire venue in Hunmanby on 26thOctober.


Spirit of Yorkshire co-founder, David Thompson is delighted to welcome the all-female group to the Pot Still stage: "With a unique blend of music, stories, haunting harmonies and crunchy chords, Raven take you on a fabulous journey through a fusion of irresistible sounds: daring choral, sizzling salsa, whimsical pop, ethereal melodies and rootsy folk. It promises to be a memorable evening, especially as they will perform a song that they have written about the distillery for the first time."


Tickets cost £10 without food; £15.50 with a cheese board or £16.50 with a charcuterie or ploughman's platter. Booking is essential by by calling 01723891758.


David and fellow co-founder Tom Mellorshare a love of live music and they specifically designed the Pot Still Coffee Shop so that it could accommodate a live band without overpowering the room.


Tom said: "The Pot Still Coffee Shop at the Spirit of Yorkshire is a small, intimate venue that attracts lovers of live music and good food. Raven have played at some fabulous venues includingSelby Abbey and Castle Howard, so we're honoured that they are coming to perform for our next Distillery Session."


Forthcoming events at the Pot Still Coffee Shop at The Spirit of Yorkshire include monthly Jazz and Blues Nights with Alastair James and Distillery Sessions featuring Jessica Lawson and Phil Simpson on 30thNovember.


In addition to music and pop up food events, visitors to Spirit of Yorkshire can enjoy guided Tours of the Distillery and home-made refreshments fromPot Still Coffee Shop seven days a week, all year round.
