estate agent launch UK's first virtual reality service

Leading estate agent Abode Midlands has launched the UK's first virtual reality service so that you can view homes without setting foot through the door thanks to expert business advice and financial planning from Howards Chartered Certified Accountants.

Having embraced immersive VR technology, Abode's Managing Director Nathan Anderson-Dixon recognised the need for high quality, value driven accountancy and business services to help the company become more profitable.

The multi-branch firm - with properties in Derby, Uttoxeter, Burton and Ashbourne - recently launched the UK's very first virtual reality estate agency platform at the intu Derby shopping centre.

"Howards has always provided us with strong professional support and advice in order to move forward. The team looked at what we wanted to achieve and gave us the confidence to adapt our structure to meet the changing market," says Nathan. "They even helped us source and import some of the technology for the VR experience.

"I was convinced that the best way to understand costs and restructure the business was to enlist on Howards' professional services. They really do have our best interests at heart and it's encouraging to work with such a knowledgeable team to manage our developments and finances."

Nathan's decision to open up in a shopping centre was made easier because they had already centralised many of their usual branch processes, including sales progression and admin.

"Introducing this technology to intu Derby has proved to play a critical role in traditional business models creating an automated work flow that sends buyers a text with the VR link once they've viewed the property - customers love it," Nathan continued.

The accountancy firm also advises Abode Midlands on tax, payroll, VAT returns and annual accounts.
