Volunteers to be honoured at CNWL's AGM

CNWL will be honouring the work of volunteers at its Annual General Meeting, which takes place on 5 September.

It will be making awards to three Volunteers of the Year, recognising three outstanding and moving examples from nominations made by staff for general volunteering, carers and patient volunteers.

This is just the start of CNWL's campaign to expand volunteer numbers, which next year will involve a bigger Volunteers Appreciation event.

During the AGM there will be time to put questions to the Board of Directors and Governors about CNWL's performance and plans.

People can read more about CNWL's performance in its Annual Report, which is available on CNWL's website.

In the last year, CNWL has seen 333,209 patients in the community (physical, mental and sexual health) and worked with 5,466 inpatients.

The past year also included the development of the Grenfell Service which was created in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy and won new services that had been put out to tender and successfully retained existing services.

AGM registration opens at 4.30pm (teas and coffee available), the meeting opens at 5pm and will conclude around 7pm to be followed by light refreshments.

The meeting takes place at the Wellcome Collection in the Auditorium, Euston Road, London.
