Leading accountants expand in line with continued growth
PPS Chartered Accountants, Wiltshire's premier
accountants for both commercial and private clients, is expanding its payroll
department as a response to an increased demand for its services from within
the Wiltshire region.
With the increase in payroll compliance placing
an ever greater burden on companies, PPS Chartered Accountants aims to take
that stress away. The enhanced department is now able to meet an even wider
range of requirements, for an extended range of business types - from limited
companies to sole traders. Payroll packages are available in weekly, monthly
and quarterly formats.
The new enhanced Payroll set up is led by Becky Day
and Lorna Reilly, two experienced payroll professionals. Becky, who has
previously fulfilled roles at Johnson Matthey and Greene King, holds a Practitioner
Certificate in Payroll through the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals.
Lorna is an experienced Accounts & Payroll Manager who has previously
worked at Fish Brothers Swindon Limited, as well as Jackie Kerr Recruitment and
Network Rail.
Among the expanded services offered by payroll
from PPS Chartered Accountants are organising PAYE codes from HMRC, producing
departmental analysis reports and auto-enrolment compliance including setup and
submissions.
The enlarged department is helping companies
organise their financial applications and government entitlements, including
FPS/EPS Submissions to HMRC for CIS, statutory payments, apprenticeship levy
and employment allowance. PPS Chartered Accountants uses Sage 50 Payroll to
process the payroll, with pension module for regular auto-enrolment assessment
if needed. The department sends out all
data fully encrypted, and password protected,
Companies can rely on the department to keep
abreast with any new legislation or changes to ensure that they meet all
regulatory requirements. Payroll from PPS Chartered Accountants is also meeting
requirements including ad-hoc reports and the reconciling of PAYE/CIS
accounts.
Along with the new offerings, the PPS Chartered
Accountants Payroll service incorporates all the payroll essentials which are
key for day-to-day business operations, taking into account any starters,
leavers, tax code changes, amendments, attachment of earnings orders, statutory
payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, shared SMP/SPP), student loans, cycle to work
schemes, salary sacrifice schemes and leaver related payments.
The department generates e-banking files and
specific pension files for upload, running required reports and generating
P32s. Year-end processing and generation of P60s are provided, as well as
filing and record keeping in line with legislative requirements.
Sally Holland, a partner at PPS Chartered
Accountants, said: "The expansion of our new payroll department is a
reflection of the tremendous growth which the service has seen over the last
few months. Our main objective is client satisfaction, and we aim for a 48-hour
turnaround on requirements, but can usually achieve project completion within
24 hours."
